Meet Antal
Hello, my name is Antal and welcome to my page!
I know choosing the right therapist can be overwhelming. You want someone you can connect with—someone who understands your challenges and has the experience to help. I created this introduction to give you a sense of who I am and how I work, so you can decide if therapy with me feels like the right fit.
I’m a counsellor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. I offer integrative counselling that is empathic, practical and solution-focused. I believe that every person has the innate ability to find solutions to their struggles—my role is to help remove the barriers that may be standing in the way.
I work with individuals aged 14 and above, including those with intellectual disabilities, providing support for trauma, loneliness, anxiety, divorce, separation, relationship issues and parenting. My approach is collaborative—we work together to explore challenges, build resilience and find a path forward that feels right for you.
I hold a BA in Psychology and an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am a pre-accredited counsellor with APCP. My professional background includes extensive experience as a social worker child protection, as well as a social care worker in residential care for young people and in a vocational training centre for adults with intellectual disabilities. I am currently working as a youth employability worker, supporting young people in a community setting. Over the years, I have supported individuals and families through challenges ranging from family conflict and abuse to developing life skills and improving well-being.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or uncertain about your next steps, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I invite you to begin this journey with me—where you have the space to be heard, supported and empowered.
While my counselling practice is based in Limerick, I offer online counselling all over Ireland.
Contact me if you’d like to embark on this journey together, or if you’d like to get support for your child.
