Hello, my name is Antal and welcome to my page!

If you’re here, you might be looking for support that feels real and not rushed.

My name is Antal Kerekes, and I’m an integrative counsellor. I work with adults and young people aged 15 and over, supporting people through challenges such as anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties and parenting issues.

I hold a BA in Psychology and an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I’m accredited with the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Ireland (APCP). I’m also fully insured and work within professional ethical guidelines.

Before working in private practice, I built experience in social work and social care; and I’m currently working in youth work. I’ve worked with young people, families and adults with intellectual disabilities, supporting them with communication, routines, boundaries, confidence and life skills. This background shapes how I work today – practical, grounded and focused on real-life challenges.

My style is empathic, practical and down-to-earth.
I’m not here to “fix” you – I’m here to support you in understanding yourself and finding what actually helps in your life.

Therapy with me isn’t about having all the answers. It’s a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on and explore things at your own pace. We go at a speed that feels right for you – there’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to.

I believe people already have the ability to grow and heal. Sometimes we just need support to remove the blocks that get in the way. That’s where I come in.

If you think we might be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch.
